Why does your Lilium Oriental Bacardi have fine webbing? Diagnose the cause and fix it with our step-by-step guide.
These arachnids thrive in the warm, dry conditions often experienced by Oriental Lilies. They pierce cell walls to feed on the sap, leaving behind fine silk webbing as they create colonies across the undersides of leaves.
Similar to spider mites, these pests are common on Lilium species. They produce much finer, less conspicuous webbing that can make the lily leaves appear dusty or bronzed before heavy infestation occurs.
While not a primary cause of webbing, very high humidity in stagnant air around dense Oriental Lily foliage can cause fungal hyphae to form thread-like structures that mimic fine webs.
