Why does your Mini Rose Rosa Terrazza Nova have fine webbing? Diagnose the cause and fix it with our step-by-step guide.
Spider mites thrive in the warm, dry microclimates often found around miniature roses. They pierce plant cells to feed on sap, leaving behind fine silken webs and causing stippling (tiny white dots) on the leaves.
In high humidity or stagnant air, these mites can multiply rapidly on the dense foliage of 'Terrazza Nova'. The webbing becomes more structural and visible as the colony grows to protect the eggs.
While less common as a direct cause of webbing, extreme lack of humidity can cause the plant's fine hairs (trichomes) to trap dust and debris, which may mimic the appearance of light webbing.
