Rich, well-draining potting mix with peat and perlite. Bulbs prone to rot in heavy clay.

Keep soil consistently moist during growth/bloom. Reduce after flowering to allow bulb dormancy. Never let bulbs sit in standing water.

Bright indirect light. Avoid harsh afternoon sun which scorches leaves.

Apply balanced liquid fertilizer every two weeks during active growth phase (spring). Stop fertilizing once blooms fade.

Cut spent flowers immediately to prevent seed production. Allow foliage to yellow naturally before cutting back bulb for storage.
